Transfer boards (or slide boards) are manual handling devices designed to safely transfer patients from one surface to another - from bed to bed for example. They enhance patient safety, whilst reducing the effort required by staff to manoeuvre unconscious or immobile patients.
The Haines® SallyBoard® range was specially developed to provide a light, chip and splinter resistant alternative to other transfer boards on the market. Medium and large SallyBoards are commonly used in hospitals and healthcare facilities, while the smaller SallyBoard Curved is more commonly utilised by physiotherapists, carers, and patients seeking a transfer board for day-to-day use.
